Who we are
Goodwill Solutions CIC was founded in 2008, our goal as a Community Interest Company is to help the local community through the creation of various projects and schemes designed to improve social welfare. In 2011 the University of Northampton became a key partner to our business and together we deliver a unique business model that is not only a highly profitable business but also benefits the local community.
Northampton based Goodwill Solutions CIC has been rightly acknowledged for a number of years as one of the county’s stand out commercially successful social enterprises.
Working closely with South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), The Police, Probation Services, integrated offender management groups, Employers Forum For Reducing Re-offending (EFFRR), local authorities, Job Centre Plus (JCP), public and third sector agents, housing associations, employers, Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) and community support groups, Goodwill Solutions CIC has created a joined up ‘pipeline’ to support those most in need. This journey leads from beneficiary engagement through to personal development and into employment. It has also recently taken over the management of a Community & Skills Centre in Wellingborough and is a key partner of the local Safer, Stronger Neighbourhood Partnership.
Goodwill Solutions Learning Academy CIC is an approved training provider for the Department for Work and Pensions, an Apprenticeship training provider for the Education & Skills Funding Agency and is on the NHS list of approved Apprenticeship training organisations.
Since 2016 the Learning Academy has been managing a partnership of 12 organisations across the county to deliver a Big Lottery Building Better Opportunities programme that is successfully supporting learners to gain the skills they need. With police officers and County Council early years teams based on its premises it is also developing a hub with these and other stakeholders.
The Learning Academy is working with organisations such as Serco, Galliford Try and Costain to deliver apprenticeship training opportunities as well as providing work relevant (funded) training programmes that allow businesses to upskill their employees in work or re-skill employees at risk of redundancy.
To create a cultural shift in our society so that partner organisations, public sector stakeholders and employers, understand and facilitate a more complete route to social cohesion, learning, personal development and employment.
To enable those suffering disadvantage to access the support they need to improve their lives through education and employment opportunities.
To find ways to deliver meaningful change to our society and add more value to our communities.
To ensure that our ideas and service offerings are always aligned with the needs of those we will be working with.
We deliver meaningful social good through the creation and management of sustainable commercially focused activities within the Goodwill Solutions Group and have developed a commercial business model that focuses on enterprise growth which we will use as a platform to provide our services across the group.
