Northampton Hope Centre: Giving a Hand up, not a hand out

Tuesday 6th August 2019

The SME Northamptonshire Business Awards are delighted to announce The Northampton Hope Centre as their Charity Partner for a second year. Last year’s guests raised an impressive £4,006 at the Northampton Cricket Ground supporting the work of this local charity.

Louise Danielczuk of the Hope Centre said “An association with the SME Business Awards is a huge opportunity for us as a charity to both share what we do and build on the incredible support we get from the local business community. We look forward to the awards ceremony and hearing about the success of Northampton’s SME’s. Thank you to Events and PR for this great opportunity.”

Northampton faces 60 rough sleepers a night with their life expectancy reaching no more than just 47 years of age. The Hope Centre are there every single day to tackle homelessness and poverty and provide crisis support, such as food services, clothing and shelter. Whether somebody is seeking a better future of free from addiction, having a safe place to stay, getting help for mental health problems or gaining training to get back in to work, everybody deserves that support and new chance in life.

Their work is raised entirely through charitable donations and grants and they appreciate every penny or minute that is donated and volunteered. The charity emphasises that anyone can get involved, through donation giving, volunteering or creating a partnership between them and your company. With an impressive £4,006 raised last year, we are hoping to see guests dig deep and continue to support this fantastic charity.”
